Mary Padian is often frequently referred to in the media as The Junkyard Queen, or even the Junkster. Her collection of antiques are purchased from various estate sales auctions and self-storage units. Mary started out as a photographer for the Architectural Digest under Paige Rense. She later started the company's personal Mary Finds segment. The section featured videos about the home's renovation and decor; she later returned to Texas and opened her business under the same name, and focus in restoring and furnishing antiques. A&E Television spied her in the antique stores and got the chance to participate in Texas Storage wars. The three-season series proved to be a huge hit. As a result of her fame, she got a role as the first character of Storage Wars in its fifth season. She's been a involved in subsequent seasons of Storage Wars and has appeared intermittently in the reality series until season 12 so far.
