Her collection of antiques are purchased from various estate sales auctions and self-storage units. Mary started out as a photographer for the Architectural Digest under Paige Rense. She later started the company's personal Mary Finds segment. The section featured videos about the home's renovation and decor; she later returned to Texas and opened her business under the same name, and focus in restoring and furnishing antiques. A&E Television spied her in the antique stores and got the chance to participate in Texas Storage wars. The three-season series proved to be a huge hit. As a result of her fame, she got a role as the first character of Storage Wars in its fifth season. She's been a involved in subsequent seasons of Storage Wars and has appeared intermittently in the reality series until season 12 so far.
