Colson Baker, also known as Machine Gun Kelly, is known for his distinct style of rapping. Baker was born in Houston in Texas on 22 April, 1990 into the family of a German as well as an English Scottish family. As a child, he spent a great amount of time travelling with his parents who were missionaries. James Colson Baker was depressed and unemployed, while Sonia Alane, his mother was divorced from his family when he was barely 9 years old. The profile of the Cleveland rapper soared after the release of his debut mixtape late in 2011.
